“The moment we choose to love, we begin to move against domination, against oppression. The moment we choose to love, we begin to move towards freedom, to act in ways that liberate ourselves and others.”

I am queer, social-justice oriented therapist, artist, and mindfulness practitioner. My pronouns are they/them and she/her.

My therapeutic lens combines strengths-based, client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally-sensitive approaches that are grounded in love, creativity, and the body.

The healing journey requires us to reflect on the events of our life and to understand the ways in which they have shaped us. And not to ask 'what's wrong with me?' but 'what happened to me?'

We collaborate to build a therapeutic relationship that nourishes you. I help you to honor all parts of yourself and to disconnect from oppressive systems. Life is hard and we all need nonjudgmental support.

Oliver, therapy dog extraordinaire, often joins us in the therapeutic space, which is warm, comfy and filled with abundant plants, teas and art supplies.

We harness the power of the arts to speak where words cannot, to tap into feelings, to make meaning, and to imagine and embody new possibilities. No skills required, just your open mind and heart.

My goal is to support you in living your most authentic, conscious and connected life. Let’s grow and get free.

Qualifications

I graduated from California Institute of Integral Studies in 2017 with a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Expressive Arts Therapy, and I am now a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working towards licensure. Peter Coster, LMFT, PhD and Delfina Piretti, MA, LMFT, REAT are my supervisors.

Since April 2017, I have been involved in Gender Justice in Early Childhood. We recently made an info sheet and wrote a book (Supporting Gender Diversity in Early Childhood Classrooms: A Practical Guide) to help teachers and policymakers create learning environments that foster gender equity through an intersectional lens.
